A quick update to let y'all know that no I didn't trip and fall off the face of the earth. Some real life things have made me less chatty, well that and time has been a major enemy of mine lately. Anyway I figured it was time for me to make time and post again. With Thanksgiving rapidly approaching I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. Hope your holiday goes well. Me I'm headed for a one day trip to my brother's in Kansas City. The reason for such a quick trip is it turns out we have to work on Friday, if we don't we lose the holiday pay for Thursday. Again hope everyone has a great holiday. I leave you with a few pictures of the Fall season and the color that goes with it.
That's it for now. Later.

We've started a new month, one that is supposed to be leadiing us down the road into fall....or is it. If it is you could have fooled me what with the 94 degrees yesterday and 90 degrees today and sitting here with the air-conditioner running. Oh well how much fun would it be if everything did as it was supposed to all the time. Don't get me wrong I'm not really complaining about the warm weather for I know winter will upon us soon enough. And now that I'm working outside again, I must say I'm not really looking forward to that at all. But as the old saying goes you got to take the bad with the good. I got a new book in the mail today and so I'm off to do something I haven't done in a while and that is read. Well read a book that is. But before I go I leave you with some panoramic pic's I took atop one of the tallest conveyor belts (see last pic) we have out there at work.
That's it for now. Later.A View From Above

Sitting here wondering....It seems like just last week it was opening day for baseball and now it's almost world series time.
Seems like just last week it was Memorial Day and now not only has that holiday come and gone, so to has the 4th of July and Labor Day.
Seems like just last week we were saying five more months and it'll be football season again and now suddenly we're four weeks into the football season.
So yeah I guess what I'm sitting here wondering is....Where in the hell did the summer go???

With the holiday weekend winding down I'd have to say it wasn't that bad. Saturday wasn't down right chilly but tolerable when my brother and I went to the football game. Sunday and today turned out to be beautiful days, to nice to stay inside. So I put the top down on the new car and off I went with camera in hand. Yesterday I headed over to Abilene to the Eisenhower center and Old Abilene Town and today I just drove around town here. Now I sit here wondering where the last three days went as I get ready to head back to work tomorrow. I know not a very exciting post hopefully the pic's will make up for it.
That's it for now. Later.

I took a little break from blogging and well blogs altogether to sort some things out. You know how suddenly you feel like things are closing in around you from all sides. Some anxiety, a tad bit of depression and a lot of frustration. The anxiety stemmed from wondering if I was doing the right thing thinking about getting a new car. Of course it didn't help having family members asking constantly if I was sure I wanted to do this. The depression came from the last family member besides myself up and deciding to leave town and realizing I'm alone in this town now, family wise that is. And the frustration came from a feud that blossomed up between my sisters that I was trying to help sort out. The depression was easy to handle. Just gave myself a swift kick in the ass and said deal with it and move on. As far as the frustration I finally resigned myself that they got themselves into the feud they can get themselves out of it. As long as they don't drag mom into it that is. Now as far as the anxiety goes, yeah there was some, but I got over that as well. And well, I am now the proud owner of an 05 Chrysler Sebring convertible.

Ok ok, me and the bank are the proud owners I should say.Time to run for now my Kansas City Chiefs are about to kickoff. I can't believe it's football time already, where did the summer go. Oh well, that's it for now. Later.

Whoa and I thought my weekend was bad.Just kidding, about my weekend that is although I'm sure this little guys weekend wasn't so good.
Spent a lot of my time in the apartment cleaning and what not since going outside meant risking melting into a liquid mess right there on the sidewalk. That's what 110 degrees will make you feel like.
With the gas prices on the rise and no end in sight I've decided it's time to get a new car....oh ok maybe not a new car but a different car. There, that sounds better. What I'm looking to do is get a smaller car with a smaller gas tank. I did finally venture out Saturday evening and walked through some of the car lots....after they were closed of course. While at the Ford dealer I spotted a car (see the first pic below) that just screamed get me and if possible I just might.
Time to run for now, I've got Hannity and Colmes on the TV and it's hard to type while yelling at the TV.
